Raising the Roof

The House

This is my house in March, 2012.

This is my house 6 months later, in September.  New doors, and windows make the house brigher while adding character with grid patterned windows and simple black shutters. The house is still a work in progress with a long list of "to do's" but here's an update on the progress!

 

The Mudroom

The back porch was one of the biggest problem areas. With only a 5'9" clearance through the doorway, the height of the room had to be addressed. So, we raised the roof.

 

 

We used a fork lift to raise the roof. I think the men really enjoyed that day :)

 

Two new windows, a 36inch door to accommodate my massive refrigerator, and voila! New mudroom!
